I was just going thru views on Maharshi's famous instruction, "summa iru" or in english, "just be!". Someone asked for the meaning of the instruction and ppl were trying to ans.
I feel thats simply the best instruction a Guru could ever give to anyone! Isnt that the essence of vedas? Instead of saying "dont" to many things, He says, "be" or "just be".
I feel the meaning of this instruction is, in other words "don't have ne thoughts". If one is awake, without any thoughts, isnt it same as nirvana? Isnt that the Highest Knowledge, the Highest Truth?
Wow!!! No wonder He is called Maharshi! How mighty He is! How mighty are His intructions! The essence of the four mighty Vedas, capsuled in just two words!!
Many a times, I think: If we were to repay Maharshi for the Grace He showers on His devotess by bowing to him, I guess we need to bow so many times that, our heads will probably be bowed all the time, literally with raising our heads just mentally, in our thots - for one thing - any number of bowings would always fall short in front His Mighty Grace!!!
Thank you, Maharshi!!! Thank you, My Lord!!

Also, I get a feeling that all his instructions of silence (or just be) is reflected in his eyes. I don't know if it is true with others, but I feel very much happy with just gazing at Bhagawns picture.
I think his teaching of "Summa iru" is simply one of the best advaitic instructions...
I really like the irrefutable way in which Maharishi puts his instructions.
Om Namo Bhagawate Ramanaya.
